Seventh-inning run sends Ashdown to 4A title game in softball

The Lady Panthers defeated Arkansas Baptist, 2-1, to advance to Saturday’s Class 4A state championship game in Fayetteville. With two away in the seventh inning, Sydney Tipton doubled down the left-field line and Morgan Thrash singled to right to drive in the winning run for a 2-1 victory over Arkansas Baptist Monday at City Park. In the other semifinal game, Highland pushed across a run in the eighth inning for a 2-1 victory over Heber Springs.
