HOT SPRINGS, Ark.—Arkansas High’s girls claimed first, and the boys finished runner-up in the Class 6A state track meet Wednesday at Lake Hamilton high school.

The Lady Backs tallied 149 points to easily outdistance second place El Dorado’s 112. Lake Hamilton finished third at 110.

“The girls did a great job today,” said AHS coach Angela Moody. “They ran in the rain and over came the elements. They have worked hard from day one, and I’m very proud of these girls and their effort.”
