District 17-2A representatives Hughes Springs and New Boston are scheduled to start what could be three consecutive days of Region III quarterfinal play today.

The two teams will play best-of-three series, with the second games scheduled Friday and the third, if necessary, Saturday afternoon.

Hughes Springs plays a home-and-home series with Harleton, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Hughes Springs. Game 2 is scheduled for the same time Friday in Harleton, with the third-if-necessary game set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Gilmer.
