Arkansas High’s Toni Chavez and Courtney Smith were named to the All-State soccer team.

Chavez, a senior defender, was the Lady Backs captain for the past two years, and was named to the All-State team her junior year. She was also named to the All-Conference team all four years at AHS.

She has signed a national letter of intent to play at Delta State University this fall.

“She was a very good leader on and off the field,” AHS coach Luis Marcial said. “She is a solid defender that improved each year during her time at Arkansas High.”
