Mineral Springs’ boys will be out to defend their Class 2A Track and Field Championship today as the host team, but the Hornets may be without star Jerry White.

White pulled a hamstring and may not be able to compete. Johnson County Westside is the girls defending champion.

Competition begins at 11 a.m. with half the field events. The boys will compete in the shot put, high jump and triple jump, while the girls long jump, throw the discus and pole vault.
