Three Southwest Arkansas schools will compete in two of the four state championship softball games today at the University of Arkansas’ LadyBack Field.

Ashdown (23-11) faces Highland in the 4A title game at noon, and Foreman and Dierks clash in the 2A finals at 4 p.m.

It’s hard to imagine many arguing that 7-2A West is the toughest softball district in the state for its classification—the state champion for the third straight year will come from the league.
