Texas High junior Ariel McDowell is the co-Pitcher of the Year on the 2008 coaches 11-4A all-district softball team.

McDowell pitched the Lady Tigers to a third-place tie with Lindale in the district race.

THS also had one other superlative honor, Morgan Patton picking up the Freshman of the Year award.

North Lamar senior Chelsea Steelman shared Most Valuable Player honors with sophomore teammate Rayn House. Lindale senior Brooke Martin was the other Pitcher of the Year.
