The Maud Lady Cardinals will take on Shiner at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Class A state semifinals at McCombs Field on the University of Texas campus.

Maud is making its first trip to Austin, defeating Alto in a best-of-three series in the Region III-A finals. Maud enters the Final Four with a record of 25-10.

Maud’s baseball team will square off against West Sabine (24-6) in the Region III-A championship and state tournament berth. The Cardinals have a record of 23-6.
