Pleasant Grove attempts to match school history against a familiar foe today in the Region II-3A finals.

The District 16 champion Hawks clash with league runner-up Pittsburg in a winner-takes-all championship game for a berth in next week’s state tournament at 7 p.m. at Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant.

PG first qualified for the state tournament in 1989 and has made the regional finals four times under Craig Jones.
