Ashdown’s Kentrell Hill was named to the Class 4A all-state and all-district baseball teams, and also was chosen to participate in the Extra-Innings All-Star game in Jonesboro in June.

Kentrell led the Panthers to an 18-7 record overall and a 6-1 mark in conference play. He led the team with a .500 batting average, earning him offensive player of the year honors.

The junior posted a 2.81 earned run average in 65 innings with a 6-4 record and two saves. He was also named the team’s best pitcher.
