The Texarkana Warriors are back and looking to finish what they started last year.

The Warriors have switched from the North American Football League to the World Football League. Texarkana finished 8-3 last year, reaching the semifinals before losing to the Louisiana Storm.

“We have a lot of veterans coming back and they are saying, ‘coach I’m hungry,’” said Warrior head coach Eference Murphy. “We are going to a different league because those guys coming back wanted tougher competition.”
