There were a pair of upsets in the Championship Flight during the opening round of the Four States Invitational Golf Tournament Friday at Texarkana Country Club.

Top-seeded Greg Flanagan and Jon Sheppard won their match, 4 and 3, but Larry Wooldridge and Loy Dean Clark, the 15th-ranked duo, topped second-seeded Adam Hamilton and Jeff Maneth by the same score.

Richie Anderson and Curt Roberts, who were seeded 10th, also upset the No. 7 team of Brad Butcher and Matthew Dunn, 5 and 4.
