The Texarkana Gunslingers shot nothing but blanks for five innings Tuesday at George Dobson Field after a broken water pipe delayed the start of the game for more than 30 minutes.

There weren’t even fireworks during a 5-run sixth inning when the Gunslingers erased a 4-0 deficit with the help of six walks by two Bay Area pitchers. Texarkana’s bats remained silent the rest of the game, and the Toros ended their two-game losing streak, while extending the Gunslingers’ to three with a pair of two-out hits in the ninth inning for a 6-5 victory.
