Junior pitcher Lacey Middlebrooks of Liberty-Eylau has been selected the MVP in District 16-3A by the league’s coaches.

Middlebrooks helped the Lady Leopards reach the 3A state championship game, finishing the season with a 23-3 record, 0.32 earned run average and a school record 385 strikeouts. She also hit .380 at the plate with 5 home runs.
