Liberty-Eylau’s 400 and 800 relay teams recently won state championships at the University Interscholastic League’s 3A Track and Field Championships in Austin. The Lady Leopards’ 400 was clocked at 47.2, while the 800 group won in 1:40.34. Competing for L-E, left to right, were Lakeisha Jackson, Ebony Vaughn, Shanetria Thomas, Murnisha Dickerson, Erin McGary-Knox and Taylor Utsey. All six girls return next spring.
