The University of Arkansas must’ve known something when Razorback coaches swept through Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas last summer to sign some area baseball players.

The Hogs signed three players—Bo Bigham of Arkansas High, Jarrod McKinney of Hughes Springs and Kyle Atkins of De Queen—and all three had great years for their respective teams.

How the trio performed on the field and at the plate in a year of solid performances by several area players landed them atop the Gazette’s 2008 All-Area baseball team.
