GOLF: The 2008 Rising Star Open Pro-Am is scheduled for Wednesday at Texarkana Golf Ranch.

There will be morning (7:30 a.m.) and afternoon (1:30 p.m.) tee times. Entry fee is $175 per person or $500 per team. Golfers can enter by calling Chris Ross at 903-733-0385 or Texarkana Golf Ranch at 903-334-7401.

Caddies are also needed for the professional division of the tournament Thursday through Sunday. Those interested should contact the Pro Shop at 334-7401.
