Texarkana Gunslinger right fielder Anthony Edwards has been named the Player of the Week by the Continental Baseball League.

Edwards was 10 for 26 (.385) during the 6-0 run Texarkana went on to start the second half of the season. Edwards smashed a homer and triple during the week and also drove in eight runs.

Edwards leads the league in batting average (.335), RBIs (28), slugging percentage (.443), runs (33), triples (4) and total bases (70). He also has the highest fielding percentage (.986) for CBL right fielders.
