Nobody was singing happy birthday to Kevin Dillen Saturday at the Texarkana Golf Ranch, but that didn’t mean he was unhappy.

The Paris, Texas, native celebrated his 47th birthday with a hard-earned 2-under-par 70, giving him a 54-hole score of 209 and two-shot lead over four other golfers in the 2008 Century Bank Rising Star Open.

First round leader John Elizondo, Michael Arnaud, Connie Pierce and Californian Brett Lederer all enter today’s final round two shots back in this shootout with Mr. Dillen.
