BAY AREA, Texas—The Texarkana Gunslingers defeated Bay Area, 9-7, Friday to remain undefeated in the second half of the Continental Baseball League season.

The first-place Gunslingers improve to 7-0, and extend their lead to 2 1/2 games over the Toros in the standings.

Jordan McCavitt notched his sixth win of the season, and Jack Tilghman recorded his league-high 10th save of the season. McCavitt’s win ties him with teammate Brian Barr for the league high.
