AURORA, Colo.—Zack Fischer had a disappointing day Monday in the USGA Amateur Pub Links event at Murphy Creek Golf Course.

Fischer fired an 80 to finish tied for 142 out of 156. Erin Goldber from Carlsbad, Cali., shot a 65 to lead after the opening round.

Fischer must finish in the top 64 golfers to make the cut and advance to the match play format.
