AURORA, Colo.—Zack Fischer’s second hole-in-one of his career helped him record a 2-under-par 69 in Tuesday’s second round of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championships at Murphy Creek Golf Club.

The former Texas High standout and University of Texas-Arlington sophomore-to-be posted his first ace since age 10 when his 7-iron found the bottom of the hole on the par-3, 195-yard eighth hole. He finished the round at 1-under par.

Fischer finished the first two rounds 7-over-par, missing the cut by three strokes. He finished tied for 83 out of 155 golfers.
