Brandon Wells of New Boston claimed first place in the recent fifth annual Big Catfish Splash on Lake Fork in Lake Fork, Texas.

Wells won cash and a boat, motor and trailer package valued at more than $13,000 for hauling in a 11.49-pound catfish. He caught the fish from a boat dock.

Eddie Milligan was second with an 11.30-pounder, while Lewis King took home the third-place prize with a fish tipping the scales at 11.12.
