The Texarkana West All-Stars are preparing for a trip to the Dixie Youth Minors (9-10) World Series after winning six straight games in last week’s state tournament held in Nashville, Ark.

The World Series is scheduled Aug. 3-9 in LaGrange, Ga.

The West won its first three state tournament games by the 10-run rule, knocking off Hope, 16-5, Diamond Lake South, 13-2, and Nashville, 13-0. A 9-3 victory over Searcy was followed by a 6-5 squeaker over Sevier County and a 7-0 shutout of Searcy again in the finals.
