Dixie Baseball: East All-Stars make it to U.S. championship

Texarkana East finished 5-1 in the 7-8 AA tournament at Searcy, beating the host team by the 10-run rule in the championship game. The East beat Hope, 10-4, in its opening game, then downed Nashville, 7-0, before dropping a 6-4 decision to Sevier County. The comeback began with a second win over Nashville, 4-3, and a 3-1 revenge victory over Sevier County. Texarkana beat Searcy, 12-2, in the finals. Chew Mobley ...
