Texas High coach John Watson views the annual Texas High Team Tournament that starts a two-day run today as one of the most competitive in several years.

“We have eight really quality teams coming to get some good, early-season matches under their belt, and one of them should be disappointed with the level of competition,” Watson said.

As usual, the tournament will be divided into two groups. Lindale, Wichita Falls, Van and Tyler Lee make up Group A; and Kilgore, Hewitt-Midway (Waco), Frisco and Texas High Group B.
