For the first time in two years it won’t count in the standings, but that takes none of the luster off tonight’s Morris County showdown at Daingerfield.

Neither does the fact that Paul Pewitt lost its opener at home last week, and the Tigers won big on the road. This one is for bragging rights.

“Those kids will come over here Friday night, they will be ready to play and it will be a war,” said Daingerfield first-year head coach Barry Bowman. “It’s one of those healthy, friendly rivalry games where both teams and both schools respect each other.”
