Texarkana newcomer Johan Swanepoel ranks among the favorites today with first round play of the 5th annual Texarkana Golf Association’s City Championships slated for the Texarkana Golf Ranch.

Swanepoel is a native of South Africa and will be playing for Rick Rogers’ Texarkana College team this year.

This year’s event will be divided into three divisions, open, seniors and super seniors.
