HOPE, Ark.— It was only the first game of the season, but Nashville appears headed for another long run in the state playoffs after a convincing victory over Hope.

The three-time defending state champions completely dominated the Hope Bobcats for a 48-0 victory Friday at Hammons Stadium.

Nashville took a commanding 34-0 lead at halftime and coasted to victory with reserves playing most of the second half.

Senior quarterback Pierre Vaughn and tailback Derrick Graham provided most of the offensive punch for the Scrappers.
