Texas High notched wins over Waco Midway, 10-6, and in the finals, Wichita Falls, 10-8, to clinch the title of its own tennis tournament.

“This was a very solid win for us over a tough old high team,” Tigers coach John Watson said. “Our team had a good win over Midway this morning too. I am so proud of the way these kids competed this weekend.”

Last week’s state rankings had Wichita Falls No. 5, Midway 10 and Texas High 18th.
