Brad Goethals didn’t have a birdie, but he’s still tied for first place in the open division after shooting a 1-over-par 73 Saturday at Texarkana Golf Ranch during first round play in the TGA City Championships.

Goethals is tied with Scott Turner, who bogeyed the first and last holes on his way to 73. He also had bogeys at 6 and 11, but made up all of those shots except one with birdies at 8, 13 and 15.
