NASHVILLE, Ark.—Quarterback Pierre Vaughn passed for 248 yards and five touchdowns to lift Nashville to a 49-27 victory over Prescott in a battle of Arkansas powerhouses Friday night.

Both teams entered the game ranked No. 1 in their respective class—Nashville (2-0) in 4A and Prescott (1-1) in 3A. With the win, the Scrappers had won six of the last seven meetings.

Vaughn’s chief target was Montrel Wright, who latched onto four passes for touchdowns. Wright had TDs on passes covering 37, 13, 32 and 38 yards.
