WASKOM, Texas—Maud came out throwing Friday as sophomore quarterback Jake McClain threw touchdown passes to four different receivers in the first half as the Cardinals built a 37-0 lead at halftime en route to a 37-14 win.

The Cardinals got on the scoreboard early when McClain passed to Stormy Jones from 18 yards.

Maud made it 20-0 at the end of the first quarter when McClain threw touchdown passes to J.T. Stanley and Bradley McClain. James Dunbar scored on a 6-yard run and Nathan Hartsell hauled in a 36-yard scoring strike from McClain.
