Will Powell threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns Thursday night, leading Pleasant Grove’s junior varsity (1-2) to a 20-6 victory over Gladewater at Leon Blake Stadium.

Powell’s scoring passes went to Hayden Frank for 62 and 6 yards and Michael Ward for 64 yards. Steven Oubre kicked two extra points.

Coaches singled out running back Jason Day on offense. Defensively, Aaron Berkins had an interception and blocked a punt that was recovered by Scott Steward and Luke Schafer recovered a fumble and an onsides kick. Cortez Ivory and Lane Elliott were also singled out.
