Maud coach Josh Finney found that out after his junior-laden Cardinals reached the Class A state semifinals last year. Apparently only one (Cumby) of the Class A schools on Maud’s 2007 regular-season schedule desired a rematch, leaving Finney to scramble for opposition when the UIL’s biennial realignment plan was announced last February.
