GLADEWATER, Texas—In a battle of unbeatens, Pleasant Grove withstood a war.

Gladewater scored a last-minute touchdown but failed to secure an on-sides kick, and the Hawks punched the ball into the end zone twice in the fourth quarter to regain their lead and improved to 4-0 on the year with a 31-28 win Friday at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium.

NeRonte’ Threatt raced 5 yards to paydirt with 8:25 left in the game for his second TD of the game, and Antonio Graves connected with Damien Watts for a 13-yard score with 1:49 left to give PG a 31-21 lead.
