FAYETTEVILLE—The late celebrity attorney Johnnie Cochran reportedly said he wished to be a renowned defensive coordinator instead of a renowned defense attorney.

‘If the defense doesn’t fit, the rush will acquit,’ Cochran could have warned from the football bench.

Certainly that was first-year Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino’s summation after Alabama’s Crimson Tide rolled his Razorbacks.
