FOOTBALL: The Texarkana Athletic Foundation will not hold a tailgate party Friday for Arkansas High’s home game with J.A. Fair.

The Razorbacks open 6A South Conference play against Fair. Kickoff is 7 p.m.



GOLF: The fourth annual Pleasant Grove parent-child golf scramble is Oct. 11 at Texarkana Golf Ranch.

The nine-hole tournament, for any child in grades 1-8, is open to any pairs; registration deadline is Oct. 3. The fees are $30 per pair and $40 for an adult and two children. Contact Steve Wren at 903-278-0827.
