NE Texas Football: Hornets shrug off deficit to down Redwater, 33-19

HOOKS, Texas—Down by two touchdowns after the first quarter, Hooks rallied behind Dominique Range to pull out a 33-19 win over previously unbeaten Redwater here Friday night.

The Dragons jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the District 12-2A opener for both squads thanks to a 13-yard scoring run by Christian Wright, followed by a 53-yarder from Hunter McPherson.

That’s when the Hornets began to find the range, beginning with Justin Choate, who hit Range with a 55-yard TD pass midway through the second quarter.
