AUSTIN—Texas Week II has subjected these Arkansas Razorbacks to precious few repeats of Arkansas-Texas Southwest Conference ancient history incessantly trotted out in Texas Week I.

Perhaps that’s for the best. These Razorbacks have too much of their own stuff to be concerned about than to be bombarded with Texas past or even Texas present.

Larry Beightol, the former Arkansas offensive line coach in the 1970s and ‘80s for Lou Holtz and retired NFL offensive line coach discussed that point on his local radio show the other day.
