IRVING, Texas— It was more of what Washington did, not necessarily what Dallas didn’t do.

The Redskins played ball-control football Sunday at Texas Stadium, while the Cowboys played below their own highly set standards in losing their first game of the 2008 season, 26-24.

“Give Washington credit, they played hard-nosed ball and won,” Dallas quarterback Tony Romo said moments after the game. “Give them credit, they made plays.”

Washington (3-1) held the ball for 12:48 in the fourth quarter, and 38:09 during the game.
