Liberty-Eylau volleyball coach Carrie Barber hopes the Texas Girls Coaches Association knows what they’re talking about.

The TGCA has the Lady Leopards ranked No. 2 among 3A schools in its most recent rankings. Mount Vernon might not disagree with that poll after falling to L-E Tuesday at the Rader Dome 25-15, 25-16, 25-13.

“I knew about the ranking coming into the match,” Barber said. “It’s nice for us and I hope we can live up to it. I know we’re capable of being that good. Still, we’re in a district race that’s up for grabs.”
