REDWATER, Texas—In a match that went down to the wire, Paul Pewitt edged Redwater in five games in District 12-2A varsity volleyball action Friday.

The Lady Brahmas won 25-12, 22-25, 25-16, 19-25, 15-7.

Alvita Mares led Pewitt (16-13, 5-2) with 24 service points (2 aces) and 32 assists, Cat Johnson had 11 points (2 aces) and 15 kills, Chynna Harris had 6 points, 6 blocks and 3 kills, and Hillary Jones had 9 blocks, 4 kills and 3 points.

Lindsey Barnhart led Redwater (5-2 district) with 16 service points.
