NEW BOSTON, Texas—New Boston pulled off a big upset for homecoming.

The Lady Lions swept second-ranked Liberty-Eylau, 25-20, 25-19, 25-19, to move into a tie with the Lady Leopards for second place in the District 16-3A standings.

Laura Raney smashed 13 kills and had 8 digs for the Lady Lions (15-9, 2-1), Emily Treadway had 13 service winners and 15 assists and Nikki Chavers added 7 kills. Carly Flenniken contributed 12 service points for NB, and Molly Kate Echols had 22 digs.
