With a little help, Pleasant Grove moved into sole possession of first place in the District 16-3A volleyball standings.

The Lady Hawks swept Pittsburg, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19, to remain unbeaten and, after New Boston’s win over state-ranked Liberty-Eylau, remains the only undefeated team at 3-0.

PG fell behind early in the opening game, rebounded with a strong late rally and was never seriously challenged the next two contests. The 14th-ranked Hawks improved to 24-9 overall.
