It wasn’t easy, but Arkansas High earned a hard-fought, significant victory over Sheridan Tuesday at Razorback Gym.

The Lady Backs needed five games and had to overcome a 12-point deficit in Game 2 to defeat Sheridan, 22-25, 25-21, 25-10, 21-25, 15-6. The win secures AHS at least the No. 2 seed for the Class 6A state tournament, which means the Razorbacks will have a first-round bye.

“The bye is real important,” said AHS coach Angela Moody. “Playing three days in a row is real tough. Your legs can only do so much, so the bye is critical.”
