Districts 16-3A, 17-2A and 17-A are the last to start conference play in the Northeast Texas area as the second half of the season begins.

In 17-2A, either Queen City or Linden-Kildare will win for the first time when they collide at Smith-Wall Stadium in Queen City. Both went 0-5 in nonconference play and were open last week.

In the other District 17-2A opener matching area teams, pre-season favorite Daingerfield plays at Hughes Springs.
