AVERY, Texas—McLeod’s Erika LaCroix posted a time of 12:58 to win second place at the Avery cross country meet Saturday. McLeod’s varsity girls finished second overall.

Kourtni Whatley ran the race in 14:32 (19th place), Noelle Grinage posted a 14:43 (22), Christina Maring ran a 14:52 (23) and Hayle Meyers finished in 14:47 (26).

In junior varsity boys competition, Heston McLaurin took 7th with a time of 22:25, and Nathan Moses took 8th at 22:35.
