GUNSLINGERS: The Texarkana Gunslingers will hold open tryouts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at George Dobson Field in Spring Lake Park.

Gunslingers manager Chris McKnight will conduct the camp with the assistance from coaches and returning players from Texarkana’s pro baseball team.

“Open tryouts are a great way to see if you have what it takes to play professional baseball,” McKnight said. “They allow young players to experience competition and gain invaluable insight as to where they are in their quest to play professionally.”
