Impressive win over Wildcats shows Texas High is back

It appears the demise of Texas High’s football team has been greatly exaggerated.

Rumors persisted that the Tigers were in trouble after they absorbed a 41-7 drubbing from Longview in the District 13-4A opener, and that last week’s foe, pass-happy Sulphur Springs, would add to their woes.

It didn’t happen. The Tigers sent the Wildcats home possibly reevaluating their season with a 59-25 rout that was every bit as impressive as Longview’s win over Texas High.
